The Rajasthan High Court in Bhagwan Singh vs. State of Rajasthan &Ors. (S.B. Civil Writ Petition No. 15517/2022) on May 16, 2023, while adjudicating upon a matter related to grant of retiral benefits to a former employee of the employer held that the period during which the employee was employed as a daily wage worker must be taken into account for computation of the total period of qualifying service for the purpose of granting retiral benefits.
