Organization's vision of diversity should not be one of creating a separate or special privilege which is viewed as an unfair treatment or reservation.

We have been discussing the merits,challenges and business reasons of having a diverse workforce. However,there is always another side to every story and in this case too,as an organization,one must have a balanced approach so that the situation of Reverse Discrimination does not arise. In our enthusiasm to become diverse,we may sometimes marginalize the majority group within the
workforce. The important element to understand is that the organization’s vision of diversity should not be one of creating a separate or special privilege which is viewed as an unfair treatment or reservation. The vision or approach should be one of inclusion and embracing differences. The underlying message should always hinge on the individual’s performance and capabilities in the role he or she is assigned.
