HR Milestone organized 2nd leadership Award conclave at Vadodara

HR Milestone, a HR platform of HR fraternity of the country concluded its 2nd Leadership Award Conclave & Annual Event on 9th of July 2022 at Surya Palace – Vadodara. With an intent to add immense value for all our HR fraternity from our own rich culture and heritage, the event was curated around the theme “Ancient Wisdom and Modern Management.”

For this blend of ancient wisdom and modern management three powerful subject matter experts as the speakers – Christopher Doyle, a well-known author and the Director Board of Directors at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Innovation Park, Prabir Jha, founder & CEO at Prabir Jha People Advisory and Radhakrishnan Pillai, bestselling author lovingly known as Chanakya, Chief Leadership Coach at Chanakya Aanvikshiki Pvt. Ltd. and a sought-after corporate trainer.

On this occasion, HR Milestone honoured Anil Navle, Professor and Dean Faculty of Social work MS University Vadodara, with Bhishma Pitamah Lifetime Achievement Award. HR Milestone also distributed various other awards to encourage and appreciate the contribution of HR as an individual and as a company.

Christopher Doyle interestingly covered what is the meaning of wisdom and how wisdom is omnipresent with the help of a few captivating stories. Some of the wisdom nuggets he shared were Vulnerability – Taking Ownership and accepting mistakes & trust covered with the example of Mahabharat Yudh and teams of Kauravas and Pandavas. He derived a much-needed conclusion – with common purpose, no egos and collaboration we can do teamwork and win in any situation.

Radhakrishnan Pillai pointed out gently that wisdom starts from our own home and from our grandparents. One should sit with Grandparents at least sometime. One does not necessarily need education to become wise, one must be wise to be educated. “Rajyguru comes before Raja”- by this he explains the importance of Guru in one’s life. He covered various concepts from Ramayana, Mahabharat and Acharya Chanakya which we can implement in modern management.

Mr. Prabir Jha with his signature style provoked the audience and with that he magically connected with the audience. He discussed five themes to cover this topic with engaging all and that were Purpose, ESG,. Transformation-Change, Guru Shishya Parampara and Self-Leadership.

All the speakers covered the theme of the conclave very well to ensure that everyone has exponential takeaways. Active participation in making this event outstanding and successful spoke of the involved and engrossed audience.

HR Milestone conclave would be remembered for a long time for the penetrating takeaways for the participants.
