Uma Rao Ganduri joins Sekhmet Pharmaventures as CHRO

Uma Rao Ganduri has joined Sekhmet Pharmaventures as Chief Human Resources Officer.

She has confirmed this development through a social media post.

Before this appointment, Uma Rao was associated with Granules India Limited, a global pharmaceutical company with a presence in over 75 countries as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Rao’s appointment is warmly greeted by Mr. Anil Khubchandani, Managing Director and CEO along with the executive team of Sekhmet. Mr. Anil emphasized the significance of a robust people strategy in the success of any business, highlighting the importance of not only hiring top #talent but also empowering and motivating them to reach their full potential. Rao, an alumnus of TISS, will be responsible for shaping the people strategy at Sekhmet. With more than 25 years of experience in overseeing human resources functions for both global and domestic multinational corporations in India, Rao has refined her expertise in strategic HR, contemporary HR policies, business #HR partnering, talent management, compensation and benefits, merger & acquisition-related HR work, industrial relations, as well as matters pertaining to labor unions and long-term settlements.

PM&IR from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Uma Rao has also worked with Ashok Leyland, HIL Limited, Mars, IBM, Idea Cellular Limited, Tata Consultancy Services, and HPCL.
