Performance management, can also have a touch of Green HRM. Here, small tasks involving the contribution towards the company's green goals can be introduced. The goals should be measurable in nature and should not put any burden on the employees.

The environmental awareness of each human being is what drives the living style and vitality of the environment. Organisations are nowadays more concerned about this topic as this not only contributes to the employer branding but it also helps in making a culture of contribution towards the society. Our personal and professional lifestyle is affected due to many consequences of unhealthy environmental wellbeing. Now-a-days, organisations need Green HRM for several reasons –

  • To protect the environmental aspects and prevent crises so as to make work more meaningful and purposeful, and the workplaces are and healthy.
  • To teach and encourage all employees to perform their activities in an environmentally trustworthy and ethical manner.
  • To improve corporate environmental performance by utilizing certain HR functions such as training, employee empowerment, and Environmental Management System (EMS) rewards.
  • To provide environmentally friendly products and operations in a successful manner.
