The Karnataka High Court in the case of Chief Executive Officer vs. K.V. Puttaraju and others W.P.No.46017/2017, while placing verdict of Supreme Court given in Netram Sahu vs. State of Chhattisgarh (2018) 5 SCC 430 held that, while paying gratuity, the employer is required to take into consideration the services rendered by employees from the date of their appointment as daily wage workers.
