But when managers focus only on tasks and consider their teams a means to achieve their goals and they don't focus on team's requirements, frustration comes in.

How do you describe workplace frustration, and what can be the causes and manifestations of such frustration?

GD Workplace frustration is when you are unable to express your views, feel that your thoughts, ideas contributions are not valued or respected, and are unable to change the situation. It happens when you put in more than 100%, but the credit is taken away, or you are never appreciated. A situation without team support or the right tools can also be frustrating. When this happens, you try raising your voice, but if you are not heard, it will ensure a disengaged and frustrated employee.

It reminds me of a situation my friend Renu was in. She was part of the Rewards team and created an internal reward mechanism through the Jury. This was agreed with the Director of HR, and Renu was told she is empowered in this matter. As decided, Renu chose the Jury and entrusted them with evaluations.
