In domestic enquiries scope for judicial interference is limited to see about process and fair opportunity to the employee: Supreme Court

Recently,  Supreme Court in the case of Indian Oil Corporation vs. Ajit Kumar singh [Civil Appeal No. 3663 of 2023] on 17.5.23 reiterated the settled principle of law that in case of domestic / departmental enquiries judicial review cannot be exercised to re-appreciate evidence and only scope for interference by the High Court in the said proceedings is to see as to whether or not the due process was followed during the course of inquiry and fair opportunity was given to the employee concerned.
