Will India embrace hybrid four day week?
With growing Indian economy and evolving socio-economic conditions of workforce, it's to be seen how the new four day work week shapes in the country.

Monday morning pressure is still a challenge to most of the workforce in any industry. Starting from incomplete tasks of last week, Reminders of bank, insurance, suppliers and customers deadlines…. the hype starts early in the day. Studies suggest that worker’ blood vessels pump faster than usual and increased pressures on Monday. Described as ‘Monday Morning Blues’, the situation depicts most of the employees experience a variety of negative feelings and depressed.

Recognizing the need to keep the employees out from Monday Morning Blues attitude, Very few companies and educational institutions started practicing a five days work week starting from Tuesday to Saturday. But, the issues of practicalities in implementing such an endevour posed some challenges. For instance, Sunday holiday phenomenon for banks, insurance and other commercial establishments. Having Monday Holiday is delaying key business transactions by two days.
