With changing of expectations, the way of leading and managing teams have changed. It is also observed that somewhere "the patience level" towards human is also changing.

How do you evaluate the contribution and relevance of HR function in present Business scenario? Is it staying ahead or lagging behind?

SS We can divide our current life into 3 phases: 1) Pre- Covid. 2) During Covid and 3) Post Covid. World had seen phenomenal difference during Covid and then Post it. Covid has impacted us personally and professionally. It has seen two visible changes in economy and perception that PEOPLE and Technology became the priority and took the frontseat. HR is playing very important role in this changing “VUCA+ UNPEDICTABLE” scenario. It has stayed ahead and rather taken lead in multiple areas i.e.; Capability + Culture + Competency building for employees and Managers and Leaders. Organisations have felt that people play most vital role. Unplanned sudden WFH and its time bound success further reinforced the belief that people/employees can do wonders if led structurally and strategically.
