My choosing HR as a profession was more out of a curiosity to understand a very important an integral aspect of human interaction, that is vis-à-vis the workplace.

What inspired you to join HR profession?

TS At the outset, I must admit that while the reasons to choose HR as a profession would have been few when I started out, after almost 14 years I still am discovering newer reasons to be part of the profession. My choosing HR as a profession was more out of a curiosity to understand a very important an integral aspect of human interaction, that is vis-à-vis the workplace. Questions like what motivates individuals to devote a greater part of their time at the prime of their life to devote time and energy for an organisation, beyond the monetary incentives and how is it that an organisation truly puts in actions the value system it espouses?

They drove my interest towards HR as a profession when I decided to take the plunge.
