The feeling of belongingness needs to be worked on harder to build among the employees. Build relationships on trust and try not to micromanage the work and increase frustration. It is extremely important that organisations take all of these concerns into consideration while implementing the hybrid working model.

What prompted employers to embrace Hybrid work model? What can be the benefits and pitfalls in shifting to this work model?

AN The last two years have been unprecedented for all of us. The uncertainty, risk and damage that we’ve faced had no comparison in the last 100 years. As we slowly move onwards, the new way of working is the hybrid model. Employers had no choice but to build their businesses remotely in the last two years – and one realized that work can happen through video/Online tool. The factors that employers needed to built was trust.

The benefits that individuals are noticing are work life balance, working from remote areas and the workforce going global, removing geographical constraints. Hybrid allows us the flexibility to work from home or any other place for the employee’s convenience. This leads to flexible hours, and helping employees to prioritize work, and other household and personal chores. The pitfalls one sees for now is missing the human connectivity.
