Anupreeta Lall, CEO, Intellsearch, an executive search firm, said that in the current scenario, organisations are going through two kinds of crisis : economic and people. Dealing well with the people crisis will lead to favourable returns in the economic one. Therefore, organisation should prioritise on investing in culture to build trust and focus on empathy, kindness and empowerment. Secondly, reskilling and developing new skills will play an important role in organisation’s success – however, there needs to be a shift from the standard methodology of developing individuals for next role to that of upskilling of crucial skills. Thirdly, in a market which is not “as usual”, developing resilience is going to be more important for long term success and organisations will need to balance this along with their focus on productivity and efficiency.
