Akshay Rakshit joins Hyundai Motor Company as Head of Talent Acquisition & Strategy.
In his Current role, as Head – Talent Acquisition & Strategy, he will lead the charter of building and delivering the HR strategy for talent across Hyundai and Genesis brands in India. His focus spans across a broad and evolving talent landscape, encompassing strategic hiring, employer branding, young talent development, policy innovation, talent mapping, talent sustainability, and HR transformation.

Before this appointment, Akshay was associated with BMW Group as Human Resource Business Partner.
With over 10 years of HR experience across leading automotive brands like Exide Industries, Honda Cars, Maruti Suzuki, and BMW Group India, Akshay has navigated complex landscapes of industrial relations, policy design, talent management, and HR transformation. His career began at the factory floor amidst long-term settlement negotiations, where he developed a deep understanding of shopfloor dynamics, labor relations, and conflict resolution. In his subsequent roles at Honda and Maruti Suzuki, he further honed his expertise in manpower planning, compliance, union management, and strategic HR interventions in high-volume manufacturing setups.
