What inspired you to join HR profession?
AK My first job inspired me to join HR profession. I started my career by joining a Montessori school as Office Coordinator. My major duties were to answer phone calls, welcome visitors, and support teaching and administrative staff by providing information to teachers and parents. I also performed clerical duties, updating records such as class schedules and academic transcripts, and coordinate meetings, including parent-teacher conferences. I felt that I am good at dealing people and made a perception that HR is all about dealing people effectively. But the reality is HR is also dealing with difficult people effectively was my learning my 1st learning after joining this profession. Therefore, this job inspired me to do MBA (HR) and my journey towards HR profession started.
