New age managers will essentially have to lead by example
A new-age manager must be with managerial style go from formal to casual, from authoritative to democratic or inclusive, from non-hierarchical top-down to bottom up, thus transforming his style from a traditional authority driven into a coach, mentor, guide, and a friend.

Do you think that Business Organisations now look for certain new competencies for managers? If so, what is your perspective in this respect?

UT In the present era, the role of a manager is constantly evolving. With the induction of every new generation of employees in the workforce, the managerial effectiveness of leadership impact is earmarked by the ability to deploy the growth for both the company and development of its employees. A key reason why high-performing employees stay at their jobs is because they can learn and grow. Effective managers develop career development plans with their employees and follow up to ensure the plans are implemented. The law of nature believes in symbiotic relationships, harmony, love, patience, growth, and change. Effective managers understand the needs of the different generations and adapt accordingly.
