How do you see the performance and rewards systems landscape across organisations at present?

SB The performance management process is definitely becoming a more thoughtful area for most organisations in the context of

  • Making the process easier, more contemporary using technology to manage and cascade goals, ensuring more checkins than in the past, and attempting to communicate the philosophies of performance and rewards to bring clarity to employees.
  • There is definitely an attempt to continuously revamp the process, at least annually as PMS defines Culture, Behaviour, Productivity and Engagement in significant ways.
  • In the recent context there is also the complexity of managing retention of talent so ring-fencing in good/crucial talent by offering them total rewards is common.
