Mindtree takes contingency measures for employees wellness amid covid outbreak

“In partnership with health practitioners and public health centres, we have been able to put in place some contingency measures for health and safety of MindTree Minds(Employees)”, Said paneesh Rao,Chief People Officer in a statement.Mindtree has taken following wellness initiatives: 

Built a well-equipped Covid centre in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad for Mindtree Minds and their immediate family members to provide essential care facilities who are experiencing mild symptoms and require isolation. The centre is staffed by nurses and paramedics, 24x7 ambulance service, oxygen concentrators and designed in adherence to Government of India and WHO protocols.

Set up a 24x7 global contact centerto assist Mindtree Minds with access to hospital beds and ICUs on a best-effort basis

Doctor-on-call facility has been enabled for Mindtree Minds and their immediate families for digital consultations from 9 AM to 9 PM IST. In addition to Covid related queries, one can book appointment for consultations with gynecologist, pediatrician, general physician and nutritionist

Tied up with leading food providers in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune to deliver meals to Covid-affected households of Mindtree Minds

A top-up insurance to cover Covid-specific outpatient and home quarantine expenses for Mindtree Minds and dependents, along with our normal medical insurance plan that covers Covid-related hospitalization expenses

Several measures are being taken to engage with Mindtree Minds to help manage anxiety, stress and support to build resilience through our employee assistance wellness partners. This includes offering focus group discussions and webinars to tackle common issues and help learn coping mechanisms

“In these unprecedented times where there are rapidly evolving challenges, we want to be highly prepared with all kinds of disaster recovery plans to maintain stability and uninterrupted services. To ensure seamless servicing, we have built a hub-and-spoke crisis response team (CRT) for monitoring the situation and mobilizing efforts for any emergencies across all our delivery locations. We are continuously strengthening delivery governance, including regular project health checks, frequent stand-up calls, business continuity plans etc.” added Paneesh.
