Myntra set to hire 7K temps in supply chain, warehouses
E-commerce fashion giant Myntra seems to be all geared up to make the upcoming festive season a lucrative event for itself!
The Flipkart-owned brand is all set to hire over 7,000 people in its supply chain and warehouses in a chase to make the most of the festive season.
Though these will be temporary hires for the festive sale period, the fact that Myntra went on to absorb most of the 5,000 people it had onboarded on a temporary basis during its last sale in June can be seen as a ray of hope for the new lot set to join the company.
As far as the remuneration for such employees hired for the festive sale period goes, online businesses usually pay nearly Rs. 20,000 per month in addition to incentives.
Given the fact that the e-commerce fashion retailer has received a fresh capital infusion of US $ 103 million (Rs. 755 crore) from FK Myntra Holdings (its Singapore-based parent entity), it is evidently going all out to ensure it stays on top in capturing the market during the upcoming festive sale season.
It must be underlined here that Myntra has also ramped up its customer contact centre by bringing in 1,000 people.
There’s more! The e-tailer has also given a handsome amount of Rs. 20,000 to each employee working from home to set up a home office ahead of the sale.
“We have ramped up our supply chain capabilities considerably and made the biggest ever festive hiring to ensure we continue to offer the best to our customers,” stated Amar Nagaram, CEO, Myntra.
