TCS sets up 11 COVID-19 isolation centers for staff, their dependents

New Delhi: Indias largest software services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has set up 11 first-class businesses COVID-19 isolation centers within its premises in various cities in India including Mumbai, Indore and Nagpur.

According to an email to employees, these centers will provide medical support to co-workers and their dependents (spouse, children and parents / in-laws) who are asymptomatic or mild COVID-19 positive with no other co-morbidities or medical history / complications.

All centers will have 24/7 medical coverage as well as daily monitoring by trained professionals. The patients may even contact a counselor virtually during their treatment.

TCS said in a response to a query, Amid the turmoil of the past few months, our priority has always been to protect the health and well-being of our employees. TCS health centers on our campuses provide isolation, convenience and treatment by health workers to our employees and their dependents, which is asymptomatic or gentle (COVID-19) symptoms, the statement added.

These centers, which will operate according to the various guidelines laid down by the center and state governments, have been set up in TCS facilities in Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Indore and Nagpur.

TCS has partnered with various agencies to provide medical and hospitality support at these centers with approximately 20-50 beds.
