Dr. Pritam Singh Management Guru passes away
Renowned Management Guru and academician Padamshri Dr. Pritam singh passed away. Dr. Singh was very active till his last day and a book on him was being written on him by his students and mentees. He was 78 and is survived by his three sons Dr. Vikas Singh, Dr. Vipul Singh, Vidhan Singh, his two daughters Savita Rai and Alka Chawla, wife and many grandchildren.
He was awarded by NHRDN for his outstanding contributions to HRD by a committee coordinated by Dr. Udai Pareek. His legendry work on Indian Leaders and transformational leadership brought to surface many leaders and served as a masterpiece for over two decades. He was also instrumental in NHRDN starting a joint PGD in HR at MDI. Business Manager also covered him in july 15 issue as Legends of HRD.
Dr. Singh has done a lot of service to management education and professional bodies He was a great administrator who turned around MDI, boosted up IIM Lucknow and continued to serve the profession till end. In his 45 years of the career as a Management Professor, he mentored around 200 CEOs and organized 50 board level workshops. He stamped his perspectives on policy and government issues that surround both management education and corporate.
Dr. T.V. Rao, D.K. Bakshi and Rajesh Padmanabhan and many other HR professionals, academicians and Industry leaders paid rich tributes to him.
