Mumbai Labour Commisoner slapped notice to Hexaware for terminating hundreds of employees
One more IT company Hexaware of Hinjewadi, Pune having its Head office in Navi Mumbai has been slapped with a notice from labour commissioner, Mumbai on a complaint filed by National Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) against terminating around 800 employees and not paying salaries for three months, according to media reports.
After NITES received complaints from Hexaware employees, they sent a letter to the Labor Commissioner, wherein they mentioned that Hexaware has fired employees, not allowing them to serve notice period, and these employees haven’t been paid salaries since last three months . The employees are also not allowed to serve the notice period.
The Labour commissioner has asked the company to withdraw the terminations and pay the stopped salaries.
