What prompted employers to embrace the Hybrid work model? What can be the benefits and pitfalls in shifting to this work model?

BR While the global pandemic triggered the “work-at-home” movement, it later morphed into a hybrid work model with a couple of days a week at the office. Employees benefit from saving time, money and stress on commuting to work, it also benefits employees by enabling a more flexible lifestyle managing and balancing work and personal/family demands. The remote work has its downsides and that at a fundamental level includes domestic distractions from pets and family members as well as blurred work-life boundaries, the work day extends forever and it is difficult to disconnect. However, there is a more severe pitfall, that is a loss of group dynamics and collaboration. Interactions become transactional perhaps addressing the actions of a project timeline but the strategic elements of group thinking and brainstorming are often lost without a face-to-face interaction.
