Erudition 18 concluded

Erudition-18, the annual business convention of Delhi School of Economics, organized jointly by MBA(HRD) and MBA(IB) of Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi held on 12-13 Oct.18 on the theme-Blurring Boundaries, Uncharted Frontiers.
In the contemporary era, evolution in any field has a domino effect. There is an overlap of duties which has blurred the boundaries of distinction. This has put the need to coexist in a nurturing environment to confront the needs and challenges together. We must realize that change is here and the change is now and the onus is on us that how we adapt to the challenges of the future and define the learning evolution of re-skilling. The amalgamation of Artificial Intelligence, technology and humans has softened the line of distinction between natural and artificial. This has resulted in a pivot of roles and responsibilities. Or so to say, as this year's theme suggests, "Blurring Boundaries, Uncharted Frontiers", it is about working together in harmony and traverse through uncharted waters. Through this year's convention, we hope to apprise about future workplace and the cognitive abilities required in coping with the future work design. We are witnessing a change of duties and responsibilities in every sense, owing to the dynamic shift and the challenge to learn and unlearn. The world cannot subsist by resorting to makeshift solutions. The inauguration with lamp lighting ceremony included Chief Guest, Mr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi; Guest of Honor, Mr. Yasho V. Verma; Keynote Speaker, Ms. Smita Prasad; Distinguished Alumnus, Mr. Vishwajeet Tyagi; Head of Department of Commerce, Prof. Kavita Sharma and Course Coordinator, Dr. Urvashi Sharma.
The event was divided into three panels. The topic for 1st panel was Redefining the Future Workplace. The panel included distinguished personalities including Mr. Pankaj Suri, Director- HR, India, Edelman; Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj, VP Operations, People Strong; Mr. Udai Upendra, Founder, The HR Company; Ms. Madhvi Goyal, VP & Head HR, Bharti Realty; and Mr. Amit Gupta, VP, Mastercard. The discussion included how the artificial intelligence has changed the workplace and redefined roles and responsibilities.  2nd Panel  had eminent speakers, Mr. Yogesh Misra, VP, Thomas Assessment Pvt. Ltd.; Ms. Shikha Taneja, Head HR, Jio; Mr. Dhram Rakshit, Head HR, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.; Ms. Ruma Batheja, Head HR, Knowledgetics; Mr. Sanjay Mitra, Leadership Coach and OD Consultant, National TRG Labs, US. The topic was Developing Cognitive Abilities for Future Work System, which was discussed in detail. The 3rd Panel was on Learning Evolution - A march Towards Re-skilling Revolution. Panelists included Mr. Eklavya Sinha, Dean - learning and leadership & Change, Dalmia Group; Mr. Anil Kumar Misra, CHRO,; Mrs. Ruchi Bhatia, Campus Branding Lead, Former IBM and Mr. MMH Beg, Head HR, Bharti Foundation. The discussion concluded that change has compelled the journey of learning and unlearning.
