IT companies may shun BTech-only techies in future, says Mohandas Pai
With IT job market struggling through times, jobs would be hard to come by in the sector in future for youngsters who have only B Tech degree. Further companies would prefer to hire post-graduates with specialised expertise, says T V Mohandas Pai, former HR head and ex-Chief Financial Officer of IT major Infosys. In future, a B Tech degree will not be adequate to get a good job and M Tech and other specialisation will be mandatory to get a good job, says Pai.
He advises that all youngster must pursue M Tech and specialise, and learn coding skills by taking extra classes, because coding knowledge will be a decisive factor for most companies in future in hiring techies.
