Building and sustaining a truly employee-first organisation begins at the top. However, as this trickles through levels to reach the junior-most employees, mid-level managers will possibly need the most amount of support in creating such a culture.

Almost all successful companies have one thing in common. I’ve observed over time that the employees in such high-growth, high-productivity set-ups often feel like they have a voice that is heard and valued, thus making them more engaged at the workplace.

While employee-first companies are sure to show better performance, higher productivity and higher retention, these are well-established facts that have been derived from in-depth study over the last decade. With multiple analytics firms across the globe conducting and publishing their findings from annual surveys, the benefits of an engaged workforce are clear for everyone to see.
However, in a 2022 survey conducted by Leena AI, of over 250 organisations across the globe, only 10% of the respondents agreed that employees should be roped into the decision-making process, and a mere 20% could boast of a robust onboarding program that aligns employees with the company vision and mission.
