A person with Vision, Intellectual Rigour, and Humanness
ISABS was one such unique organisation that Udai ji co-founded with like-minded distinguished professionals to make the power of applied behavioural sciences, with the primary mode of experience-based learning, of service to all sections of India.

It is only once in an era that a person with the special combination of wide vision, eternal inquiry, intellectual rigour, and humanness comes along, and an entire profession and people are deeply enriched by her/his being – Udai Pareek was one such luminary. He followed his spirit of inquiry in the field of human development and human systems in many directions to create and articulate new paradigms and concepts that enhanced the experience and growth of all the beneficiaries. They not only contributed to knowledge creation but also had immediate practical usage. ISABS was one such unique organisation that Udai ji co-founded with like-minded distinguished professionals to make the power of applied behavioural sciences, with the primary mode of experience-based learning, of service to all sections of India. The time, commitment, and encouragement he gave to enable the multitude of professionals to emerge and develop is evident in the fact that ISABS has been working consistently in the field from just the volunteering spirit of its Professional members for the last 53 years. We will continue to give our tribute to him by continuously extending the reach of human and systems processes to more and more people.

Personally, in my interactions with Udai ji, what I was most impacted by was his gentle way of giving his incisive observations or views in only 1-2 sentences which had me reflecting and processing the many layers of his words for a long time afterward. In this, he gave me (and I am sure countless others) an ocean in a drop.
